What would Brighton say? Don't I know you from somewhere?
From JAY
Colour: Surely it should be a rainbow... But not just a seven striped symbol of sexual freedom; It would be a spectrum of myriad colours - many without names - of all hues and shades. At each end: White of Egyptian cotton, off-white of seedy 'dirty weekend' sheets and Brighton's summer blizzards of cocaine. Black of the night and of the souls of the queer-beaters under the pier who seek their prey from it's cover. In between, the murky bottle green of the sea, the bright yellow of sunshine, azure skies, West Street pavement claret... All the colours between Heaven and Hell.
From JOHN
Smell: Car pollution at Preston Circus - a burnt smell on summer evenings; a briney smell down at the seafront; pubs rising in yeastiness as dusk falls...
What would Brighton say? Fancy a pint?
