Jobs at BUCFP

Fundraiser: this is a great opportunity to work in a busy charity in central Brighton helping disadvantaged people to challenge the effects of poverty and deprivation. BUCFP has been running for nearly thirty years supported by funding from a variety of sources. Over a hundred people volunteer here each week, successfully running key aspects of the Centre including education courses, Welfare Rights and housing support, childcare, office work, cooking and leisure activities.  Our present fundraiser is leaving after 8 years with us and we are looking for someone with at least two years experience in significant fundraising to take on this interesting role.  You will need to have the skills to see a funding application through from researching appropriate funding sources to completing monitoring and feedback to funders.  You will be involved in business development and planning in collaboration with other workers and trustees.  There is also a management aspect to the role as all workers are involved in the management of the Centre through the Project Workers’ Group.  This is a rewarding role supporting vital services which are especially needed in the present economic climate.

The closing date for this application is 4.00pm on Thursday October 14th. Interviews for shortlisted applicants will take place on Friday 5th November.

A job description / person specification, a summary of BUCFP's work, and an application form can be downloaded below. All documents are in PDF format, except for the application form which can be downloaded in either Word 2007 or PDF, and filled-in online or by hand. Completed forms can be emailed to info@bucfp.org or sent to BUCFP, Fundraiser Applications, Prior House, 6 Tilbury Place, Brighton, BN2 0GY.
