Welfare
and Benefit Advice is usually available on weekdays between 10.30 and
4pm (apart from Friday morning and lunchtimes).
The welfare
advice service offers free, independent, confidential advice
and support. It is run on a drop-in basis and as demand is
usually very high, we recommend arriving at or before the
start of a session.
As the service is staffed by volunteers, we are sometimes unable to run sessions; and sometimes sessions are booked in advance, in order to deal with particularly complex issues. If possible we would advise contacting Centre reception in advance of your arrival, on 601211, to check that a particular session is running.
The Welfare Rights Group can also be contacted on their dedicated
telephone number of 676171
